At Richardsons, our commitment to quality and sustainability goes beyond the walls of our kitchens and into the fields where our fresh ingredients are grown.  Recently, our managing director, Matthew Richardson, took a trip to Griffin’s Farm, one of Ireland's most respected potato producers located here in Munster, at Carrigaline, Co. Cork.  This third-generation family business has been growing and packing a wide variety of potatoes since the 1940s, and it was an eye-opening and inspiring experience for our team. 

  

Embracing the Roots of Our Supply Chain 

As Matthew stepped onto the Griffin's farm (the home of the famous Griffin’s Potatoes) the sense of history and tradition was palpable.  The Griffin family has been growing potatoes in the area since the 1940s, and their dedication to quality is evident in every aspect of their operation. The lush green fields and the meticulous care taken by the farmers reflect the essence of our brand—dedication to quality and sustainability.

At Richardsons, sustainability is at the core of our values. During the visit, Matthew was impressed by Griffin’s commitment to eco-friendly practices. From crop rotation to reduce soil depletion to the use of organic fertilizers, every step is taken to ensure that the farming process is as sustainable as possible.
